OnePlus 5T will be officially announced tonight, but the smartphone has already gained astounding interest on Amazon India, where it will be sold exclusively. The ‘Notify Me’ subscription went live for the OnePlus 5T on November 7, 2017 and in just a week’s time, it registered 1.1 million customer interest.
The interest is expected to further witness a spike before the OnePlus 5T goes on early access sale for prime members at 4:30PM on November 21, 2017. If you wish to get the notifications about the smartphone, you can head over to amazon.in and subscribe for the alerts.
OnePlus 5T will be unveiled at 9.30PM (IST) today in India. The smartphone is the successor to the OnePlus 5 that was launched earlier this year, but brings in a range of notable upgrades and design changes. Thanks to a number of leaks in the past, we have a fair idea about what all the OnePlus 5T will pack.
One of the most important changes the OnePlus 5T will introduce is the 18:9 display aspect ratio. It is slightly bigger than the OnePlus 5, but continues with the dual-camera setup. In addition to that, there will be an iPhone X-like Face Lock feature which will be a secondary biometric-based authentication functionality on the device.
Based on the leaks, the OnePlus 5T is likely to pack a 6.01-inch full HD edge-to-edge display. Under the hood, it is likely to be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 octa-core SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The base model is expected to pack 6GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage.
For optics, the OnePlus 5T is likely to combine a pair of 20-megapixel cameras at the back, while up front, there will be a 16-megapixel camera. It is further expected to be powered by a 3,300mAh battery as the OnePlus 5, along with support for Dash Charging.
